This was our second time at Il Paggino, and the 4 years between this and last time, sure wasn't due to lack of will. Francesco and Eleonora made this stay just as wonderful as ever. Il Paggino itself has undergone some modernizations and it has all been for the better. The place sits on the side of a hill with an amazing view over the Tuscan landscape. The apartment had the rustic, Italian charm you would expect and it all contributes to an almost movie-sch experience. And do try out Francesco and Eleonora's wines, the make for an excellent partner to the great food of the region.
The wonderful town of Radda In Chianti is just a stones throw away, and if you feel a bit more adventurous both Greve In Chianti and Volpaia is just around the corner. Of course, we would recommend taking a trip to all the major cities around Il Paggino, as they all serve a unique experience.
Once again, it was wonderful stay at Il Paggino, and no doubt we're coming back!

We stayed in the Viola apartment in June earlier this year, it was wonderful. We felt very welcome and the apartment and grounds were absolutely beautiful. We will definetely be returning. We would recommend Il Paggino to anybody wanting a relaxing holiday in the lovely tuscan countryside.

Thank you both for a lovely holiday at Il Paggino. The views from Viola and Agrifoglio were superb, and both apartments very comfortable. We had a lovely fortnight exporing the hill towns around Sienna, and visiting Florence, but some of the best bits were sitting outside the apartment in the evening with a glass of chianti watching the sun go down. If you do visit recommend you visit the nearby Volpaia winery we really enjoyed the tour there. Also consider taking a walking tour in Florence,we used Dark Rome tours (booked via Viatour)it was an excellent way to see & learn about this beautiful city. The sun shone every day and we thoroughly enjoyed your excellent facilities. The pool must have the best view in Italy. We had three fantastic weeks at Il Paggino.
Il Paggino is a wonderful location for visiting many of the area's historic cities with Florence and Siena only one hour away and Pisa two hours. We took the opportunity to visit Rome which is only four hours away by car. Radda's restaurants offer delicious food at affordable prices and the people were so helpful and friendly.
We are looking forward to coming back in 2009.

We fell in love with Tuscany and can recommend Il Paggino as a wonderfully central place to enjoy exploring the countryside, and the bonus of having the bus to Florence stop at the front gate.No having to fight the traffic and find a park. We enjoyed our family meal with Eleonora and Francisco and look at our photos at least twice a week.

Hi Eleonora and Fancesco. We had a wonderful holiday based in Apartment Rosa. The setting is ideal with beautiful views and lovely areas for sitting and relaxing - we thought the tented sitting out areas in the flower meadow were an inspirational idea and gave very tranquil areas for sitting reading and looking at the wonderful views. The pool area was a real hit with my family, but my wife and I will also remember the wonderful evenings sat under the vine trellis drinking Chianti and listening to the crickets. It was a fantastic relaxing holiday and we will cherish great memories of the area and of you both. My eldest son James will always have your generous present of the book on Chianti with your signed messages to remind him of his dream to live in Italy one day. We spend 3 weeks in the Gelsomino appartment, which was not a punishment!!There was a lot of space and outside we could enjoy the beautiful gardens and surroundings.Every now and then we saw the beautiful and lovely smiles of Eleonora&Francesco turn around the corner.Nearby we found beautiful flowers; wild orchids at least 6 different kinds and animals; to mension birds, hops, and the bever(in italian Castoro)! We certainly hope to come back to this wonderful area and friends. we love Italy, especially Tuscany, especially il Paggino!

Hi Franco and Eleanora, Well like everyone else we LOVE Il Paggino. The buildings and decor are just right, very cosy and homely. The garden is really perfect with all the little sitting areas, and of course the lovely view. We enjoyed all of the local Restaurants, and the lovely towns and villages surrounding Radda. We had a good journey home, reclaiming my jacket, en route!! Glad to say our much loved dog hurled herself at us when we arrived home. She had a major operation, but is now hopefully as crazy as ever. You can rest assured we will be back. It is likely we will bring our friends as well. Here we are safely at home. On saturday we drove all the way to Germany and stayed overnight near München. We arrived home on sunday evening, even our baggages found their way home ;)!

Rosa House Hi Francesco and Eleanora, Now that I am back in Florida and have recuperated from jet-lag, I want to take a minute to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at Il Paggino. Your place is delightful! I, my daughter, and our Swedish cousins all found Il Paggino the perfect spot to stay for a visit to Tuscany. I am sorry we didn't see you again during our stay to let you know what a good time we were having. We used the kitchen to cook dinner a couple of times, once cooking chicken on the barbecue grill. It was very nice to be able to do that instead of going out for dinner every night. We also enjoyed the pool. How refreshing to be able to come back after a hot day of sightseeing to that lovely pool with its fantastic view! Breakfast under the grape arbor was another highlight. We spent a lot of time driving around, visiting your area. We spent one day in Siena, one in Florence, and visited the cashmere goat farm, the Castle Brolio, Arezzo, Castellina, Ponzano, Greve and, of course, the very lovely Radda. I think we fit quite a lot into one week, don't you? On behalf of myself, my daughter and our four Swedish cousins, a big thank you for your hospitality and your lovely place! We enjoyed the wine, too!

Ciao belli in Italia Thank you for a lot of fine pictures. It was very well done of you making a so much food - italian food to us. We liked very much to meet people from America, england, France , Germany and of course you. I also want to say that we are very content with il Gensomino / il Paggino, the beds were wonderful , the rooms very nice - briefly said: we liked very much to be guests at your house. And of course; we love Italia. I think it is possible that we are coming back some time. The summer is pretty up here in the north, with long days og only a few hours with darkness. I have a cabin in the mountains and we often go there to be in the nature fishing and walking in the mountain. ( I should hav tried to write this in italian, may be I do .....) We, along with our American friends Pat and Bill stayed in Rosa. We greatly enjoyed our week. Firenze, Arezzo and Siena are all within easy reach. The region has lots to boast. The apartments have everything you need for a holiday. The bed linen is superbly laundered and still has the ironed look after a week. The highlight, however, at 'il Paggino' is the weekly meal Elenora and Francesco organise for their 'guests'. It is not often that at one table you get: 4 Norwegians, 2 Italians, 2 Germans, 2 Americans a Frenchman (my husband) and an English woman. Thank you for the photos of this evening.

"I have only good things to say and remember about out stay in Apartment Gelsomino at Il Paggino. It was very spacious, extremely neat and clean with modern kitchen and bathrooms. It was decorated in a very lovely Italian theme. The location of the property itself was excellent, giving us many options for day trips each day without having to spend all day in the car. Our hosts, Francesco and Eleanora, are a very beautiful, enthusiastic young couple and it is apparent they have invested much time and love into making Il Paggino a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. 16.09.2006 Dear Francesco and Eleonora, Today it is a sad day, because we have to leave your beautiful cottage Il Paggino and return to Holland. We stayed here for a week and visited most of the famous places. However a week is by far not enough to discover everything in Tuscany. A good reason to return for future holidays. We like to thank you both for your kind hospitality which gives us warm feelings and memories. We will recommand your little paradise to our friends and we hope to meet again. It was very nice to be with you. The only problem was, our children loved your garden too much. It was hard to convince them to go to Siena , Florence or any other beautiful places cause they wanted to stay there. Thanks you didn’t remove the bicycles from the roof of our car. Therefore we spent very relaxed days in wonderful Tuscany .

26.8.2006-2.9.2006 Arcobaleno is a nice house in a beautiful surrounding. Eleonora and Francesco are the owners and they are lovely people. They organized once a week a Toscany diner with lots of wine together with German, Austrian and Dutch people and of course Eleonora and Francesco. We enjoyed our holiday here very much. Perhaps till next year. Ko (the guitarman), Emma, Ageeth and Erik,Zaandam, Holland.

Cari Eleonora e Francesco! Ora sono due settimane fa, che lasciavamo Toscana, ma sentiamo che sia piú settimane fa. Abbiamo avuto una bella vacanze a casa vostra. Sia láppartamento che gli dintorni sono stato perfetti, e abbiamo goduto passare le vacanze nella il Paggino. Anche "the friendly evening" é stato molto piacevole e abbiamo goduto la vostra cucina italiana e la compagnia con voi e con tutti gli altri cliente. Il venerdi, abbiamo lasciato la casa vostra, e il sabato, verso mezzanotte, siamo tornata a casa nostra. Abbiamo avuto encore una settimana di permesso, ma ora andiamo al lavoro ancora. Ciao, Eleonora e Francesco, We had a superb time in Tuscany. Il Paggino is excellent and we enjoyed our apartment, Rosa, very much. I know that our friends Gerard and Kathryn really enjoyed their short stay. Your welcome and hospitality really made our holiday. We are telling all our friends what a wonderful place you have.
