Our Tuscany tradition
Everywhere on the hills around Il Paggino apartment s Radda in Chianti , and so almost everywhere in Tuscany, grapevines and olive trees flourish. They are planted together on trditionals farms houses, olive trees and grapevines side by side; on modern estates they are grov separatly and stretch for miles over the hills. The wineris are among the best in the world in terms of production, variety and qualiy. Sangiovese and Trebbiano grapes do extremely well here. There are forty protected wines, six with the highest quality DOCG label. Thhe red DOCG wines are Chianti(Chianti Classico is classified separately), Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano . There is also the while DOCG wine, Vernaccia di San Gimingnano. Winemaking has also given a strong impetus to tourism: the region has a well devolped network of wine Trails (Strada del vino) with hundreds of producers and restaurants providing warm welcomes to connoisseurs. The olive growing industry also poduces high quality olive oil, under the one all inclusive Toscano quality label.
